Kristy Smith Laughter serves as the Office Manager of A. Michael Edwards, Attorney at Law. She worked as Deputy Clerk for the McDowell Clerk of Superior Court offices prior to joining the firm.
Kristy works directly with each client and she treats each and every case with the respect and confidentiality that is required and deserved. Kristy is that direct link between Mike Edwards and each client and she works to facilitate clear and honest communications regarding all aspects of each client's case. She understands that each client's case is uniquely important to them and the result of the case will affect the client's life greatly.
Her prior experience with the Clerk of Court Offices, coupled with her ten years of experience in advertising with the e McDowell News Office, has allowed Kristy to gain an appreciation for detail and developed in her that sense of urgency that is necessary to successfully process the heavy caseload maintained by the firm.
Kristy graduated locally from McDowell High School and has resided in McDowell County for her entire life. She has been married to husband, Denny Laughter, since 1999 and they are the proud parents of two children, Sophia Kate Laughter and Keaton Denson Laughter. She and her family attend church at Nealsville Church of God.
